Use this page for straight bars, rods, rails, and stock lengths where each part is a finished length. It does not model angle cuts, bending, threading, machining allowances, or structural requirements.

Generic bar-stock workflow
Use material labels when bars differ by alloy, thickness, finish, or supplier. The optimizer should not mix unlike stock unless you intentionally label it the same.
